Achievements lining up for Button!!
Having failed to make even a single mistake, Jenson Button topped the podium once again this time at the Brawn GP Pit at the Istanbul Park Racetrack. Adding to Vettel’s own mistake architecting his own downfall, Button’s tactical driving did make his victory an easy one. The tail ward wind at a point where the track was too slippery made the Englishman narrow down his chances of getting an entrance to the corner right leaving him open wide. This really did a great favor to Button who was on the tail to grab the lead which any racer wouldn’t choose to lose for the rest 57 laps.
At turn 9 Red Bull was devoid of all its advantages and yet it did not choose to switch Vettel to the two-stop strategy. This gamble failed badly paving way for Button to make his dreams come true. Barrichello reduced Button’s fight for his victory with his disastrous race diluting the Brawn-Mercedes team. Lewis Hamilton expressed that he was satisfied as he could’ve done no more. Moreover he is looking forward to The British Grand Prix. With Benson bagging the badge once again Red bulls do look forward for a far closer match at Silverstone.
The Legend of all times – Roger Federer
What had remained to be a matter of high level of impossibility and unreality over the years has now become something that’ achievable under the heights of simple human aspirations and achievements. With Roger Federer winning 15 Grand Slam Titles within six years, the unwritten rules in Tennis history, bound by human imaginations and gestures have been redefined once again.
With 5 of his Grand slam titles being won in a row, what Roger has undergone during the past 6 years is not something like a cakewalk. His passion and endurance for the game has surely taken him to great heights which others could not even imagine of. And his journey that he has gone through, full of hurdles and disappointments clearly highlights the fact, that victory does not come cheap, for history does not favor for granted, even for the champions! Having marked his presence in almost all forms of the game, this Swiss player looks like a beast unleashed on court, for he has complete control over almost all the games he is in. Though sometimes the final outcome remains a mystery or sometimes even against the Swiss, it becomes a moment of shock and astonishment when Fed turns the tables on his side, walking with a friendly smile, holding the trophy. And with his recent victory in the French Open, Fed broke down the unwritten laws of the past, making him stand out as the only player to have won the titles in both the courts. And when the legend, Pete Sampras states that the immense potential of the Swiss might even fetch him more titles making it to 18 or even 19, it surely makes it picture perfect that Fed is The Best!
Brawn hits the graph!!
With Jenson Button beating Lewis Hamilton, the reigning champion on the penultimate lap, the race was really tough turning out to be really interesting with new and unexpected outcomes at last. Though the result seemed to be as guessed, things turned out suddenly and surprisingly in favor of Jenson Button in the last but one lap.
The Brawn-Mercedes drivers, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello scored their second one-two of the season. But Barrichello’s bemused look clearly indicated that he expected to be at the top of the list rather than his colleague. Button’s fourth of the season came to reality with the change of pit-stop strategy for the Englishman and a tyre problem for the Brazilian at a crucial stage. The image that everything was going according to the plan blew out when unknown to either driver, Brawn had switched Button’s strategy from three to two stops. Due to this mess Button had to change his driving style. “Though i didn’t think it was a good idea, I was left with no other choice”, said Button. He really found it hard to control his car with all the sudden changes in the pit-stops, but he made it successfully to the end. And for Lewis Hamilton, he looks forward with a hope that Monaco would be a better race for them with the absence of fast corners that wouldn’t hurt them as much as they did here.
