Brawn hits the graph!!
With Jenson Button beating Lewis Hamilton, the reigning champion on the penultimate lap, the race was really tough turning out to be really interesting with new and unexpected outcomes at last. Though the result seemed to be as guessed, things turned out suddenly and surprisingly in favor of Jenson Button in the last but one lap.
The Brawn-Mercedes drivers, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello scored their second one-two of the season. But Barrichello’s bemused look clearly indicated that he expected to be at the top of the list rather than his colleague. Button’s fourth of the season came to reality with the change of pit-stop strategy for the Englishman and a tyre problem for the Brazilian at a crucial stage. The image that everything was going according to the plan blew out when unknown to either driver, Brawn had switched Button’s strategy from three to two stops. Due to this mess Button had to change his driving style. “Though i didn’t think it was a good idea, I was left with no other choice”, said Button. He really found it hard to control his car with all the sudden changes in the pit-stops, but he made it successfully to the end. And for Lewis Hamilton, he looks forward with a hope that Monaco would be a better race for them with the absence of fast corners that wouldn’t hurt them as much as they did here.
