A wait worth it for Glover!!!
Lucas Glover was for sure engulfed in a sense of shock and surprise when he walked off the 18th green as the winner by two shots. Silent tears rolled of his eyes when he had his dream comes true, clearly speaking volumes of how important this victory meant to him. Before he rolled in a tap-in putt for par on the 72nd to secure his win, the outcomes seemed to be possible in any random way. But it was Glover who made it up finally with great tension and strain and finally marked his own victory in history, for his last win which dates back to four years ago in Disney Land didn’t win much of the crowd’s attention. But for now Glover has found himself a place that would hardly fade away.
The crowd’s favorite Phil Mickelson who had vowed to take the trophy home to his ailing wife and David Duval who was in tie for the lead fell into the second place along with Ricky Barnes. Ross Fisher having ended up third was elated with his playing for he said he felt like he had hit the ball better than ever in the tournament. However Mickelson would be the one who would not be present at the Open in July for he set off to California to treat his wife for her breast cancer. Though he was keen in winning the tournament, having been placed second didn’t seem to have affected the player much, for he said, “There are some other, more important, things going on – oh well”. However for Glover after four years of strenuous and patient waiting, he has finally found himself a victory that is worth remembering of!
